better with cheddar - apple bread

This recipe was tweaked by me, from a cookbook I purchased last Fall from a local Apple Festival I always attend. I like my changes better than the original...It's quite the delicious bread. I made this loaf for my mom, as a nice surprise, she loves it... Enjoy!

1/4 cbuttermilk

1 csour cream
-
1/2 csoftened,butter
-
1 cpacked, brown sugar

2eggs
-
1 tspvanilla
-
1/4 tspsalt

2 cflour
-
2 tspbaking powder
-
1 tspbaking soda
-
1/2 tspcinnamon
-
1/2 cchopped walnuts
-
1/2 ceach - shredded, yellow mild cheddar & shredded, white sharp cheddar

1 csmall diced apple, about 1 medium
How To Make better with cheddar - apple bread

1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Spray a 9 inch bread pan with bakers secret. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs, vanilla and salt. Mix until well blended. Sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon & beat in half of this mixture with the wet ingredients.

2In a small bowl, whisk the sour cream with the buttermilk. Add this to the wet mixture, mixing well again.

3Add remaining flour mixture and beat well.

4Fold in the apples, cheese and nuts.

5Spread evenly into prepared bread pan and bake for 45- 50 minutes or until pick inserted in the center comes out dry.

6Leave set in pan for 10 minutes before removing bread to continue cooling.
