almond/raspberry/cranberry/white chocolate bread

My Mother-in-law loves Raspberry so I created this as one of the breads I am making for thanksgiving

Ingredients For almond/raspberry/cranberry/white chocolate bread

  • MIX THE FOLLOWING TOGETHER IN A LARGE BOWL
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 1 stick
    butter (1/2 cup)
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    pure almond extract
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • THEN ADD
  • 1/8 c
    milk
  • 2 1/4 c
    flour
  • MIX WELL THEN ADD
  • 1/2 c
    slivered a;lmonds
  • 1/2 c
    crasins
  • 1/2 c
    vanilla or white chocolate chips
  • ADDITIONS FOR LATER
  • a few slivered almonds on top just before baking
  • 3 tsp
    raspberry jam to swirl into batter just before baking

How To Make almond/raspberry/cranberry/white chocolate bread

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 1 large or three small loaf pans. Most the directions are already above. mix the first part, then the second part and fold in the third part. Put it all in a pan and smooth out. Drop the raspberry jam by 1/2 spoon full's and then swirl the raspberry into the batter but don't over swirl. Top with a few slivered almonds. (Picture was taken just before going into the oven but before adding the slivered almonds to the top)

    Bake 40-45 minutes until raised and lightly browned. Mine took 45 minutes. (Picture is of the baked bread before slicing)
