buttermilk cheddar-bacon bread
I love breads that are made without using yeast and I'm all over this recipe. I could have this with a little butter slathered on and a cup of coffee and be good to go. Recipe: Kraftfoods.com 08-21-14

Ingredients For buttermilk cheddar-bacon bread

2-1/4 call purpose flour

1/4 csugar

1-1/2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspbaking soda

1egg

1 cbuttermilk

1/4 cbutter, melted

8 slicecooked bacon, crumbled

1 cshredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/4 cchopped fresh chives
How To Make buttermilk cheddar-bacon bread

1In a medium bowl, mix the first four ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk egg, buttermilk and butter until blended.

2Add egg mixture to the flour mixture along with the bacon, cheese and chives; stir just until moistened.

3Spoon mixture into a sprayed 8x4-inch loaf pan and bake in a preheated 350º oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

4Cool in pan for 15 minutes and the remove to a wire rack; cool completely.

5NOTE: May be wrapped tightly and frozen for up to 3 months.
