Ingredients For dumplings

1 1/4 cflour

1 Tbspbaking powder

3/4 tspsalt

1egg, beaten
-
2 Tbspshortening
-
1/2 cmilk

1/2 tspparsley, chopped
How To Make dumplings

1Sift flour, measure and shift again with other dry ingredients. Cut in the shortening until mixture is even crumbs. Add milk and beaten egg, may add chopped parsley. Mix and drop by spoonful over gentle boiling meat, broth or stew. Cover and steam for 11 minutes without lifting lid.
