corn bread
I grew up on beans and cornbread, as did my Mom. This recipe was her grandmother's. It goes well with just about anything. I'll post a pic next time I make one.

Ingredients For corn bread

1 cyellow cornmeal

1/2 call purpose flour

1/8 csugar

3 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

1egg

1 cmilk

1 Tbsp(heaping) crisco
How To Make corn bread

1In a mixing bowl combine dry ingredients. Add egg and milk, mix well. In a 8 or 9 inch cast iron skillet melt a heaping tablespoon of Crisco. Coat pan with shortening and pour into batter. Stir well, and pour batter in skillet. Bake in a 400 oven for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Allow to cool a bit and turn onto serving plate, cut in wedges and enjoy.
