Ingredients For ~ ham & cheddar biscuits ~

2 cself rising flour

1/2 cbutter
-
1 cground ham ~ i use country ham

1 1/2 cshredded, sharp cheddar cheese

1 tspdry mustard

1/4 tspcayenne pepper ~ optional

3/4 - 1 cbuttermilk or enough to moisten

3 Tbspbutter, melted
How To Make ~ ham & cheddar biscuits ~

1Preheat oven to 450 degree F. Add the flour to a bowl. Cut in 1/2 cup butter with a pastry cutter or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

2Stir in the ham, mustard, pepper and cheese.

3Add the buttermilk; stir until a moist dough forms. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased baking sheet.

4Bake for 10 - 13 minutes, or until lightly golden. Brush with melted butter.
