We fill these biscuits with everything. They are good all by themselves as well!

Ingredients For velvet cream biscuits

  • 4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 1/2 c
    whipping cream, more if needed
  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted

How To Make velvet cream biscuits

  • 1
    Combine first 4 ingredients, then add whipping cream and stir until dry ingredients are moistened. Can use a little more cream if needed, your dough should come together but not be loose.

    Turn dough out onto a well floured surface and knead 10 to 12 times. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter and place on lightly greased baking sheets.

    Brush with melted butter. Bake at 400 degrees 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown 2 1/2 dozen. These freeze well. I heat them up in my microwave about 1-2 minutes.
