Ingredients For spiced wine molasses biscuits
- DOUGH

2 cultragrain flour
-
4 tspbaking powder

4 tspdark brown sugar
-
2 Tbspdark molasses
-
1/2 tspsea salt
-
1/2 cbutter flavor shortening
-
1egg
-
1/2 cwine
-
1/2 tspcinnamon
-
1/8 tspallspice, ground
-
1/4 cheavy cream
- TOPPING
-
white sugar, for sprinkling
-
poppy seeds, for sprinkling

water or milk
How To Make spiced wine molasses biscuits

1Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Dump out onto a floured surface.

2Knead for about 1-3 minutes. Press out to 3/4 inch thickness.

3Cut with a floured biscuit or cookie cutter. Take remnants and re-press to 3/4 inch again. Keep cutting until all is used.

4Place on greased cookie sheets. Wet tops with water and apply toppings. You may prefer to wet with milk, optionally. Allow to rest for 5-10 minutes. While preheating your oven to 425F.

5Bake for 7-9 minutes.
