Ingredients For southern fried apples

  • 5-6 md
    apples, sweet and juicy
  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 stick
    butter, not margarine

How To Make southern fried apples

  • 1
    Slice butter in bottom of a 12' skillet. Peel, core and quarter apples, add to skillet.

    Pour in white sugar and brown sugar.

    Over medium high heat bring apples to a boil stirring frequently.
  • 4
    Reduce heat to medium low and cook until apples are tender and juicy. Stirring frequently to prevent scorching. Serve solo or over piping hot, fresh from the oven, homemade biscuits.
