This is my Father In Laws recipe. He melted the 3 TBS. shortening in a metal baking pan, on top of his gas stove. Then dip tops of biscuits in shortening, then place bottom down and bake.

Ingredients For self rising biscuits

2 cups self rising flour

2/3 cup milk

1 large egg

3 tbs. melted shortening
How To Make self rising biscuits

1Mix together. Place on floured surface.

2Roll into 1/2 inch thickness. Cut.

3Bake at 450 for 10 to 12 minutes.
