This is my Father In Laws recipe. He melted the 3 TBS. shortening in a metal baking pan, on top of his gas stove. Then dip tops of biscuits in shortening, then place bottom down and bake.

Ingredients For self rising biscuits

  • 2 cups self rising flour
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbs. melted shortening

How To Make self rising biscuits

    Mix together. Place on floured surface.
  • 2
    Roll into 1/2 inch thickness. Cut.

    Bake at 450 for 10 to 12 minutes.
