These are a twist on my regular homemade buttermilk biscuits, they are more on the savory side!! Soft & Delicious!!!

Ingredients For sandy's homemade herb & cheddar biscuits

4 call purposr flour (i use king arthur)

1 tspsalt

1 tspbaking soda

6 tspbaking powder
-
4 rounded Tbspcrisco shortening

2 cbuttermilk
-
1 1/4 tspfreshly grated coarse pepper

2 or 3 Tbspfresh or dried chopped chives

2 Tbspfresh or dried parsley
-
2 Tbsp0r a smidge more of granulated garlic

1 1/2 cmedium or sharp grated tilamook cheddar

1 1/2 Tbspfresh or dried dill (opt)
How To Make sandy's homemade herb & cheddar biscuits

1Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl,cut in shortening& mix til it resembles coarse meal.

2Add all herbs & grated cheese & buttermilk to combine,Do not over mix.Place on floured surface and roll out with rolling pin about 1/4 inch thick.Use floured biscuit cutter to cut biscuits, place in greased baking pan, biscuits can touch one another, this will keep them soft.

3Bake @ 400 degrees (pre-heated oven) for abt. 15 minutes. Remove from oven and enjoy!
