Ingredients For honey sweet potato biscuits

2 call-purpose flour

1 Tbspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 cshortening

1 Tbsporange peel

1 Tbsplemon peel

3/4 cmashed cooked sweet potatoes ( 1 large baked, peeled & mashed)

1/3 choney
-
1/2 cmilk (about)
How To Make honey sweet potato biscuits

1Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in large bowl. Cut in shortening until mixture is size of small peas. Add orange and lemon peels, sweet potato and honey; mix well.

2Add enough milk to make soft, but not sticky, dough. Knead 3 or 4 tmes on lightly floured surface. Pat dough to 1-inch thickness and cut into biscuits using a 2-inch biscuit cutter. (you could also use a drinking glass turned upside down)

3Place on a greaed baking sheet. Bake in preheated 400F oven 15 to 18 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
