2 call purpose flour

3 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 cshortenin or lard

3/4-1 cbuttermilk
How To Make homemade buttermilk biscuits

1Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl and mix well. With a pastry Blender or fork cut in shortening till the mixture looks like coarse crumbles. Stirring with fork, add enough milk till mixture leaves the sides of the bowl and forms a soft moist dough.

2On a floured surface, roll dough around till no longer sticky. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness, cut with biscuit cutter and put on ungreased cookie sheet

3bake for about 10 minutes or till golden. brush with butter
