Ingredients For feather light scones

  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    cold butter
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 c
    vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp
    milk
  • sugar, to sprinkle on top

How To Make feather light scones

    In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in egg, yogurt and vanilla just until combined.

    Turn onto a floured surface; knead 6 to 8 times. Roll into a 9-inch circle; cut into eight wedges. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Brush tops with milk; sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 425F for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm. 8 scones.
