When I was a young bride, I became enanormed with Bisquick. I used to make pork chops with cheese biscuits. I still love these biscuits. So here goes.

Ingredients For cheese biscuits

  • 2 c
    bisquick baking mix
  • 1/2 c
    cold water
  • 1/2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make cheese biscuits

    Heat oven to 450 degrees. Mix 2 cups Bisquick baking mix, 1/2 cup cold water and 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (about 2 ounces)until soft dough forms: beat vigorously 20 strokes.

    Gently smooth dough into ball on floured cloth-covered board. Knead 5 times. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut with floured 2-inch biscuit cutter.

    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake until golden brown. 8 to 10 minutes.
