This recipe was given to me by my friend Lynne. It was her Welsh grandmother's recipe. Her grandmother used to cook them on a bakingstone in Wales- hence the name.

Ingredients For bakestone cakes (welsh cakes)

2 call purpose flour

2/3 cshortening (not margarine)

1/2 csugar
-
1/2 cmilk
-
1egg

2 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspsalt

1 craisins
How To Make bakestone cakes (welsh cakes)

1Mix together, then roll out 1/3 inch thick and cut into round shapes. Cook on each side until done in electric frying pan (or griddle if you have one!) Enjoy!
