Ingredients For bacon cheese biscuits

2 cself rising flour

1 Tbspsugar

1/2 tspbaking soda

1/2 cshortening (crisco)

1 cbuttermilk
-
12 ozsliced bacon..cooked and crumbled

1 c(4oz) shredded cheddar cheese
How To Make bacon cheese biscuits

1Preheat oven to 425.

2Combine in a large bowl the first 3 ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in buttermilk until just combined. Fold on bacon & cheese.

3Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Knead 4-5 times. Roll to 1/2" thickness;cut with a 2 1/2" biscuit cutter. Place on a greased cookie sheet.

4Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
