Ingredients For angel biscuits

  • 4 c
    self rising flour
  • 1 3/4 c
    buttermilk
  • 3/4 c
    shortening, butter flavor
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 Tbsp
    yeast
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 c
    water

How To Make angel biscuits

  • 1
    Mix buttermilk and soda together
    * let stand
  • 2
    Mix yeast and water together
    * let stand
  • 3
    Mix flour and shortening
    together until mixed well
    Mix in buttermilk and soda mixture
    Mix in yeast and water mixture
    * let rise in pan
  • 4
    Roll out and cut biscuits
    Place biscuits in baking pan
    * let rise in baking pan
  • 5
    Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes
  • 6
    MAKE SURE TO WATCH BISCUITS CAREFULLY !!!!!
