8 oz chopped pecans ((2 cups) divided )
½ cup water
½ cup sugar
¼ cup bourbon
12 oz unsalted butter ((3 sticks) this is to make brown butter)
8 oz unsalted butter ((2 sticks))
1 lb confectioner’s sugar ((3 1/2 cups))
½ cup maple syrup
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
