2 cups Bisquick Baking Mix

2/3 cup milk (I used 1/3 cup cream and 1/3 cup fat free half-n-half)

1-1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (I used half sharp and half extra sharp)
•
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)
•
2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine mixed with 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (to brush on biscuits immediately after removing from oven)
