3 tablespoons sugar
1 large banana, sliced 1/4-inch-thick (24 slices)
BROWN BUTTER FROSTING
1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, softened and divided
3 cups confectioners’ sugar
2 tablespoons prepared caramel ice cream topping
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
FOSTERS SAUCE
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
3 tablespoons spiced rum
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon rum extract
1/3 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
