"[Photograph: Ben Fink Photography] Proving the saying that nothing easy is ever worth it, this layer cake from Puddin' makes fruits and nuts play nice with malted milk pudding. The result is a stunning confection that's soft and light from buttercream, crumbly with cake, and nice and jiggly in the middle. Excerpted from Puddin' by Clio Goodman (Spiegel & Grau).
