INGREDIENTS

2 cups Gold Medal UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour (bleached flour toughens baked goods)

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup sour cream (I used 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup Greek yogurt)

2 large eggs
•
4 ripe bananas, mashed with a fork
•
2 tsp. vanilla
•
3/4 tsp. salt
•
1 tsp. baking soda
•
1/2 cup finely diced walnuts
•
1 stick ( 1/2 cup) unsalted butter
•
2 tsp. vanilla
•
3 cups powdered sugar
•
3-4 tbsp. milk or half-and-half
•
1/4 to 1/3 cup finely diced walnuts for garnish, if desired
