I have only had this recipe for about 10 years. It is the best meringue I have ever found.

Ingredients For meringue

1/3 cwater

1 tspcornstarch

3 lgegg whites

1/3 csugar

1/2 tspcream of tartar

1/2 tspvanilla
How To Make meringue

1In a small container, mix the water the cornstarch together. Cook in a microwave for 30-45 seconds and stir until all blended together. Cool.

2In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs whites until peaks start to form. Add the cooled cornstarch mixture, sugar, cream of tartar and vanilla. Beat for about 5 minutes. Spread on your pie and bring to the edge of your crust, or whatever you are needing meringue for. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned.
