INGREDIENTS

1.In a 3 1/2- or 4-quart crockery cooker layer potatoes, parsnip, apples, and onion. Sprinkle with thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.

2.Add meat. Pour apple cider or juice over all.
•
3.Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 7 to 8 hours or on high-heat setting for 3 1/2 to 4 hours or until meat and vegetables are tender.
•
4.Ladle into bowls.
•
