INGREDIENTS
1 large green cabbage
For the stuffing:
3/4 cup uncooked rice
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 small onion or 1/2 large onion, finely chopped (around 1 cup)
1 Tbsp finely minced garlic
2 eggs
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
For the sauce:
2 cups plain tomato sauce
1 large onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 lemon, cut into pieces (rind left on)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white vinegar
2 cups water
1 1/2 tsp salt
