For the apple pie filling:

1 tbsp butter
•
2 tbsp sugar
•
1 tsp cinnamon
•
2 granny smith apples, peeled and diced
•
2-4 tbsp apple juice or cider
•
For the pie crumb frosting:
•
1 1/2 cups flour
•
2 tbsp sugar
•
1/2 cup (8 tbsp) salted butter, melted
•
1 1/2 tbsp water
•
6 tbsp salted butter, at room temp
•
1 cup powdered sugar
•
1 cup milk
•
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
