Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these Zucchini Sticks are delicious finger foods to enjoy with friends.

Ingredients For zucchini sticks

  • 1 lg
    zucchini, cut into 16 pieces
  • 1 lg
    free-run eggs
  • 4-5 dash
    hot sauce, such as cholula®
  • 1/2 c
    panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    grana padano, grated
  • 1/4 tsp
    smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil, for frying

How To Make zucchini sticks

  • 1
    In a shallow bowl, add egg and hot sauce; beat. In a large re-sealable plastic bag, combine ground panko, cheese, smoked paprika, and garlic salt. Close the bag and give a good shake until the ingredients are well blended.

    Dip zucchini sticks in egg mixture and then transfer them to the panko mixture; close the bag and shake until well coated. Transfer on a plate.

    In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil. When hot but not smoking and has reached 350ºF, fry zucchini sticks in batches until golden brown, about 1 to 1 ½ minutes per side. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel to absorb any excess oil. Serve with ranch dressing.
