Ingredients For texas caviar

  • 1 can
    15 ounces black-eyed peas, rinsed and drained
  • 1/4 c
    thinly sliced green onions, about two
  • 1/4 c
    finely chopped red sweet pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    cooking oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    cider vinegar
  • 1 to 2
    fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
  • 1/4 tsp
    cracked black pepper
  • dash
    salt
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced

How To Make texas caviar

  • 1
    In a bowl, combine the black-eyed peas, green onions, red pepper, oil, vinegar, jalapeno pepper, salt, pepper and garlic.

    Cover and chill overnight. Serve the mixture with crackers or tortilla chips.
