This is a fresh, spicy, chunky dip that can feed a crowd. I first tried it, years ago at a company party. I kept the recipe and our family looks forward to it each New Year's day!

Ingredients For texas caviar

  • 2- 14 oz. can
    blackeyed peas- drained
  • 1- 15 oz. can
    white hominy, drained
  • 4
    green onions, chopped
  • 1
    jalapeno pepper, chopped
  • 2
    garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2
    tomatoes, chopped
  • 1
    green pepper, chopped
  • 1 8oz. bottle
    italian dressing
  • 1/2 c
    fresh parsley, chopped

How To Make texas caviar

  • 1
    Combine all ingredients and chill. Serve with tortilla or pita chips.
