My grandpa came from a Mennonite family, and my grandmother's family was Pennsylvania Dutch. This is a nice little recipe that I grew up on, and now as a grandmother, I make this for my family.

Ingredients For quick & easy refrigerator pickles

  • 3 lg
    cucumbers
  • 1 md
    onion
  • 2 c
    water
  • 2 1/2 c
    white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt

How To Make quick & easy refrigerator pickles

    Slice cucumbers and onions thinly and place in air tight container.
  • 2
    In separate bowl add water, vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir until sugar and salt are dissolved.

    Pour water mixture over cucumbers making sure that they are completely. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours before serving.
