Another great and healthy dish for your table! I like them baked cause they are much healthier and lighter than fried. They were golden brown and crunchy on the outside and nicely roasted on the inside. The zucchini sticks were tasty by themselves but they were even better when dipped in the marinara sauce.

  • 1 lb
    zuchinni (sliced into sticks & pat dry)
  • 1/2 c
    bread crumbs (panko)
  • 1/2 c
    parmigiano-reggiano, grated
  • 1 tsp
    oregano
  • 1 lg
    egg (lightly beated)
  • salt and pepper

How To Make parmesan crusted baked zucchini sticks with marinara sauce

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

    Mix the bread crumbs, parmigiano reggiano and oregano in a bowl.

    Season the zucchini sticks with salt and pepper.

    In a shallow bowl, Dip the zucchini in the egg.

    Use zip-lock bag for panko, then dredge in zucchini sticks in crumb mixture.

    Place the zucchini on a baking sheet in a single layer with the skin side down.

    Bake in a preheated 425F oven until golden brown, about 20-25 minutes.
