A warm mushroom appetizer spread!

Ingredients For mushroom spread, grandma w

  • 4 slice
    bacon
  • 3 c
    fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, cubed
  • 2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    soy sauce
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream

How To Make mushroom spread, grandma w

  • 1
    Cook bacon crisp in skillet, reserve 2 T drippings. Crumble and set aside. Cook mushroom, onion, and garlic to tender in drippings, most of the liquid should evaporate. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add cream cheese, Worcestershire and soy sauce. Heat and stir until cheese is melted. Stir in sour cream and bacon. Heat through but DO NOT BOIL. Serve warm on rye bread rounds or crackers.
