Made up this recipe because I didn't have enough jalapenos to make traditional jalapeno poppers and wanted a spicy side to go with tortilla soup. Hope you enjoy.

Ingredients For jalapeno popper toasts

1/2 cmayonaise

4 oz(1/2 of a block) light cream cheese

1/4 creal bacon bits or cooked crumbled bacon

3-4jalapenos, fresh (seeds and ribs removed if you want it mild)

1/2 cshredded cheddar or jack cheese

1/2 tspgarlic powder

1loaf of French bread, sliced 1/2 inch rounds
How To Make jalapeno popper toasts

1Heat oven to 350. Line a sheet pan with foil.

2Slice bread into 1/2" rounds.

3In a food processor, add all ingredients, except bread, and pulse until well blended but still chunky.

4Spread jalapeno mixture onto bread slices.

5Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
