Ingredients For hummus

  • 2 cups
    canned chick peas drained but save liquid
  • 2/3 cup
    taheeni ( sesame paste)
  • 3/4 cup
    fresh lemon juice
  • 2 gloves
    large cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp.
    salt
  • chopped fresh parsley
  • greek olives if wish
  • pita bread and or veggies

How To Make hummus

  • 1
    use food processer to blend well chick peas, garlic, salt, Taheeni and lemon juice. If too thick add a little reserved juice from chick pea can . It should be thick but must blend well,

    Best made a day ahead so all flavors blend. Keep chilled

    to serve. garnish with some olive oil on top and chopped parsley, Great along with Greek olives.

    cut up pita bread either room temp or warmed. Can also add cut veggies
