Mom's a tomato sandwich freak, she eat's them everyday! But instead of just putting butter or mayo on it...I found this recipe for her. Now I'm hooked on tomato sandwiches too after making this recipe! I think this would be great on any sandwich as long as a stalk of celery!

Ingredients For heirloom tomato sandwiches

1 - 8 oz. pkgcream cheese, room temperature

6 Tbspmayonnaise

1 1/2 Tbspdill, fresh

1 tspgarlic powder with parsley

2 Tbsponion flakes, dehydrated

2 Tbspchives, dried

16 slicebread (to your liking)

4 lgred heirloom tomatoes, cut into 1/4

4 lgyellow heirloom tomatoes, cut into 1/4

salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make heirloom tomato sandwiches

1In a small bowl, combine all ingredients together (cream cheese through chives).

2Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over one side of 8 bread slices; layer with sliced tomatoes.

3Sprinkle with salt & pepper to taste.

4Top with remaining bread slices. Serve immediately.

5TASTY TIDBIT: From red to yellow to orange & green, look for all types & colors of heirloom tomatoes. You can use any combination for some sensational tomato taste.
