I'm sure many cooks have thrown together something similar to this at the last minute. In my case, it was for drop in friends. I did the refrigerator stare and this is what I had on hand so this is what I served. Quick and easy!

Ingredients For "get it together" spread

  • 8 oz
    cream chese
  • 1/2 pt
    sour cream
  • 1/2 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 1
    avocado, mashed
  • several cups of lettuce, chopped. i used bagged salad.
  • 1
    tomato, chopped
  • 1 bag
    shredded cheddar or monterey/pepper jack cheese
  • 1 sm
    black olives, chopped

How To Make "get it together" spread

  • 1
    Blend all ingredients in mixer. Spread on a plate. Cover with lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and black olives.

    Serve with whatever you have on hand. Suggestions: crackers, breadsticks, corn chips or crudités. All I had was pretzels. Tasted good together!
