I love to make these plantains even spicier with more crushed red pepper! Combined with the cooling ranch, this is super quick to make!

Ingredients For firecracker plantains

  • 3
    plantains
  • 2 tsp
    cumin
  • 2 tsp
    crushed red pepper
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 c
    frank's red hot sauce

How To Make firecracker plantains

  • 1
    I use ghee (or coconut oil) to fry the plantains on medium heat until golden brown. (1-2 tbsp of oil to fry)
  • 2
    Once they are browned on each side, toss with all the other ingredients and serve warm! I love to dip them in ranch dressing.
