Mom made appetizers every time they went to dinners, or had people over for dinners. This was one, and everyone liked it.

Ingredients For chinese spiced mushrooms, mom's

  • 6 oz
    mushroom crowns, canned
  • 1/4 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    sherry
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • toothpicks

How To Make chinese spiced mushrooms, mom's

  • 1
    Broil mushrooms. Drain, reserve sauce to use for soup, sauce or gravy. Combine remaining ingredients in small saucepan. Place over med heat and bring to a boil. Pour over mushrooms, cover and refrigerate overnight. Drain, serve with toothpicks.
