This is a easy spread and it is a hit with men and women. It makes quite a bit, but stays well in the refrigerator. I have it mostly in the summer as it is a cool type appetizer. I hope you enjoy.

Ingredients For benedictine spread

2 pkg6 oz cream chese

1 mdcucumber , peeled

1 mdonion
-
1 tspsalt or more to taste

dash dashtabaso sauce

2 dashgreen food coloring

mayonnaise
How To Make benedictine spread

1In blender or food processor, grate onion.

2Squeeze excess juice from cucumber, using paper towel and add to onion and process again. Add cream cheese, salt, Tabasco and food coloring and blend until smooth.

3Add just enought mayonnaise to make a smooth filling easily spread. Serve on bread or melba toast rouonds, open face. Is especially good topped with crisp fried bacon
