Ingredients For beer battered portabella mushrooms

  • 1 c
    canola oil for fring
  • 2 c
    bitter ale
  • 1 3/4 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    sesame seeds
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornsarch
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 3
    large portabella mushrooms cut into 1/2 in slices

How To Make beer battered portabella mushrooms

    Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan 375 degree
  • 2
    Whisk ale,flour,sesame,seeds,cornstarch,and baking powder in a large bowl. Batter will be slightly thick and lumpy

    Dip 7-8 strips of the mushrooms at a time into the batter shaking off excess . Fry mushrooms in batches in oil 5-6 min
