I have no idea where this recipe came from. My brother-in-law started making this years ago for our family gatherings. It has become a family favorite and has been passed down for at least 25 years.

Ingredients For shrimp butter

  • 1 stick
    butter (do not use margarine)
  • 1 pkg
    8 oz pkg philadelphia cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced onions
  • 1 or 2 can
    small cans of tiny shrimp
  • 1 oz
    6oz frozen tiny shrimp

How To Make shrimp butter

  • 1
    after the butter and cream cheese is room temperature, cream them together.
  • 2
    add the lemon juice, mayonnaise and minced onions.

    Drain and add either 2 cans of tiny shrimp or 1 can of tiny shrimp and a 6 oz bag of frozen tiny shrimp Chill and serve with assorted crackers
