Ingredients For salmon mousse (sallye)

2 pkgunflavored gelatin

1/3 cwater

2 Tbsplemon juice
-
1 cboiling water

1 lbsmoked salmon fillet de-boned, skin removed

1/2 cheavy cream
-
1/2 cmayonnaise
-
1 Tbspthinly sliced green onion, including green part

1 tspdillweed
-
1/2 tspsea salt
-
1/2 tsppaprika
-
1/2 tspblack ground pepper
How To Make salmon mousse (sallye)

1Sprinkle gelatin over 1/3 cup water and lemon juice in blender. Let stand 5 minutes Add boiling water, cover, blend on medium high for 30 seconds or until smooth

2Add salmon to gelatin mixture Add heavy cream, mayonnaise, green onions, dillweed, salt, paprika and pepper Blend for 1 minute more until complete smooth

3Pour into individual small ramekins (or disposable foil cupcake cups) Chill, covered with foil for at least 3 hours in refrigerator

4Fan out washed and dried romaine lettuce leaves on a serving platter. Gently loosen sides of mousse with small spatula and ease out onto lettuce leaves. Garnish with capers, lemon slices, and marinated vegetables Serve with ranch dressing, pita chips and/or water wafers
