Ingredients For garlic shrimp - spanish style

  • 12 oz
    large or jumbo shrimp, peeled, cleaned and dried
  • pinch
    sea salt + 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/3 c
    spanish olive oil
  • 4 - 5 clove
    garlic, coarsely smashed
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 2 Tbsp
    sherry
  • parsley, garnish, optional
  • 3
    lemon wedge, optional

How To Make garlic shrimp - spanish style

    Season the prepared shrimp with salt and pepper on both sides and set aside until required.

    Heat a large pan over medium heat until hot and add the oil, garlic and red pepper flakes to the hot pan, fry until the garlic starts to get golden brown.

    Add the shrimp and fry until they are almost cooked ( 1 - 2 minutes) . Do not Overcook the shrimp.

    Add the sherry and parsley to the pan and toss together. Taste and re-season with salt and pepper if necessary. Serve with crusty bread.
