devilish shrimp salad

A friend of mine made this about 20 years ago and I HAD TO HAVE the recipe. It's expensive to make but well worth it for special occasions.

Ingredients For devilish shrimp salad

  • 2 lb
    cooked shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 md
    red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 c
    black olives, sliced
  • 1/2 c
    roasted red pepper, chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 md
    bay leaf
  • 2 Tbsp
    parsley flakes
  • DRESSING
  • 1/2 c
    lemon juice
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    red wine vinegar
  • 1 dash
    cayenne pepper

How To Make devilish shrimp salad

  • 1
    Place shrimp, onion, olives, roasted red pepper, garlic, parsley and bay leaf in a large bowl.

    in a smaller bowl, combine lemon juice, olive oil, dry mustard, salt, red wine vinegar and cayenne. Mix well and pour over shrimp.

    Mix to combine and chill. Remove bay leaf before serving.
