Ingredients For crispy clam fritters

1 can(11 oz.) minced clams, drained

4 clovegarlic, minced
-
1/2 cgreen onions, sliced
-
1/4-1/2 cvery finely diced red bell peppr
-
2eggs, beaten
-
2 Tbspbutter, melted
-
1/2 tsplemon juice
-
1/2 tsphot sauce
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1/8 tsppepper
-
2/3 call purpose flour
-
1 tspbaking powder
-
canola oil for frying
How To Make crispy clam fritters

1Combine clams, garlic, onion, eggs, butter, lemon juice, hot sauce, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl; mix well
-
2Combine flour and baking powder; add to clam mixture and stir until moistened.

3Heat fryer. Drop clam mixture into deep, hot oil by tablespoonfuls. Fry until light golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with tartar, cocktail, honey mustard, remoulade sauce or or my Zesty sauce (I have recipes most of these if you want to search them)

4NOTE: The recipe in the photo is doubled to get that amount!!!
