These are soft and creamy little bites of imitation crab and cream cheese seasoned with ranch and garlic salt, then rolled in buttery crushed club crackers. They're supposed to be appetizers, but truth be known, I've eaten the whole batch and called it lunch, lol!

Ingredients For crab balls

  • 3 Tbsp
    cream cheese, plain or smoked salmon flavor
  • 1 Tbsp
    snipped fresh chives
  • 1 tsp
    ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 3 oz
    imitation crabmeat, finely chopped
  • 2 heaping Tbsp
    shredded cheese (havarti, monterey jack etc.)
  • 8
    club crackers, crushed

    Gather and prep ingredients.
  • Ingredients for crab balls mixed in bowl after adding seasonings.

    In a small mixing bowl, use a fork or spoon to mix together well, cream cheese, chives, ranch seasoning and garlic salt.
  • Chopped imitation crab.

    Add imitation crab and cheese; mix well.

    Roll a small portion in the palm of your hands to form a one inch ball.

    Roll ball in finely crushed cracker crumbs to coat.

    Repeat forming and coating with remaining crab mixture.
  • Crab balls ready to serve.
