Ingredients For cheesy cajun shrimp topper

4 Tbspbutter

4 Tbspflour

1 lbshrimp: peeled, deveined and chopped

1 chalf and half

1 cchicken stock
-
2 Tbspcajun, creole or blackening seasoning

1 cshredded cracker barrel white extra sharp cheese

extra butter to saute shrimp
How To Make cheesy cajun shrimp topper

1In a 2 QT sauce pan, melt butter, whisk in flour. Cook to a golden blonde color. Increase heat, whisk in stock and half&half. Simmer until thickened, adding in cheese at the very end until melted and smooth.

2In a saute pan, saute shrimp in butter adding in cajun seasonings. Cook through. add entire shrimp mixture to cheese sauce.

3Serve over meats, fish, pastas, rice, crusty bread, even as a stuffing for zucchini, eggplant or peppers.
