I just love this finger food for watching TV games or at a gathering. This is a spiced-up version of another recipe that was given to me.

Sweet, savory, smoky, and salty, these chicken bites are jam-packed with flavor. After being baked, the bacon wrapped around moist pieces of chicken breast is crispy. The bacon is coated in a mixture of wing sauce, brown sugar, and chili powder that's simply marvelous. We could not stop eating these. They're almost like candied chicken. You could probably use chicken thighs in this recipe too. Sporty Snack Showdown Contest Runner-Up!

Ingredients For sweet chicken bacon wraps

  • 4
    chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
  • 1 lb
    bacon
  • 1 c
    bottled chicken wing sauce, your favorite
  • 2/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1-2 dash
    cayenne pepper

How To Make sweet chicken bacon wraps

  • Chicken breasts cut into bite-size pieces.

    Preheat oven to 350 F. Wash and clean the chicken breast. Pat dry. Now, cut into bite-size pieces about 1" cubes.
  • Chicken pieces in a resealable bag with wing sauce.

    Place in a bag. Add the chicken wing sauce and close the bag. Place in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Brown sugar, chili powder, and cayenne pepper in a plate.

    Now mix the brown sugar, chili powder, and cayenne pepper in a pie plate.
  • Bacon wrapped around piece of chicken and secured with toothpick.

    Remove the chicken and wrap it with bacon. Secure with a toothpick.
  • Bacon coated in spice mixture and on a baking sheet.

    Roll the bacon-wrapped chicken in the sugar mix on all sides. Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or foil sprayed with non-stick spray.
  • Chicken bites after baking in the oven.

    Bake in 350º oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
