I have been working like crazy on Thanksgiving, so tonight I have decided to be naughty, and I am making a batch of yummy chicken wings. I also came up with this new buffalo sauce recipe that is so good. The one thing to remember is that the heat can be controlled by adjusting the pepper, hot sauce, and cayenne that goes into the recipe. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients For sauce essentials: homemade buffalo sauce

  • PLAN/PURCHASE
  • 5 Tbsp
    hot sauce, i prefer frank’s
  • 4 Tbsp
    sweet butter, unsalted
  • 1 Tbsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp
    celery salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 1/8 tsp
    white pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 pinch
    garlic powder

    Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).

    Add all the ingredients to a small saucepan, over medium heat.

    As the mixture begins to heat, and the butter melts, use a whisk to thoroughly combine all the ingredients.

    Allow to lightly simmer for five minutes.

    Chef’s Note: Tabasco sauce in not hot sauce… I repeat Tabasco sauce is NOT a hot sauce. If you use 5 tablespoons of Tabasco sauce in this recipe, the top of your head will explode… BOOM!!! In my opinion, the only hot sauce to use is Franks.”
